"ALL INDIA HAJ UMRAH TOUR ORGANISERS ASSOCIATION" was established in the year 1997 at Mumbai. The aim and object for bringing such body into being was to face those day-to-day hardships and impediments unitedly which were being confronted by the private tour organisers.
As this association came into existence, its registration was done under section 25 of the Company Act, 1956, which has non profit making organisation. The process of the association's registration was completed on the 10th March 1998. And as such the Assistant Registrar of Companies issued the certificate of Incorporation in favour of this association. Its registration number being No. 11-113931 of 1998.
In the beginning the private tour organisers belonging to these fourteen states of Indian Union assumed the membership of the association :- Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Assam, Orissa & Jammu & Kashmir.
During last Nine years many tour organisers have become the members of this association simultaneously several tour organisers did not renew their membership due to their own reason and thus cease to be the members of this association. And till this date the membership of the association is 397 and the association in performing a role as their representative as well as aide in solving all the problems being confronted by the members of this association. This association has a managing committee consisting of twenty one (21) members. All these office bearers of this association are serving the association's members without any remuneration or honorarium. The association undergoes an election process after every two years in the matter of forming its managing committee.
The managing Committee generally holds its meeting within a month, But in exigencies such meetings can be called in accordance with the needs. All the important decisions are made after full deliberations and thorough discussions in democratic, norms and traditions. The majority judgement prevails upon all and is executed. Also the association holds its general meeting annually in which all the annual accounts and the audit reports are placed for passage. Under the laws, the copies of the association's annual accounts and the audit reports are forwarded to the Income-Tax Department as well as the Registrar of Companies. Because this association does not earn any kind of the profit so it has duly been exempted from any kind of tax by the Income-Tax Department. All the members have full liberty in expressing their views, or in raising any point of order while attending the annual general meeting of the association.
Those members of this Association who are desirous of having registration by the Haj Cell of the Government of India's Ministry of External Affairs are always helped by the Association in the matter of auditing and checking their bonafides. Their files are thoroughly examined by the association and then the files are forwarded to the Haj Cell for granting them registration. The association treats itself responsible for scrutinising all the necessary papers as well as the security Deposit Amounts submitted by the members. If any deficiency is found in any case the members concerned is warned promptly and asked to fulfil the conditions to its entirety.
This association is registered and recognised by the Government of India's Ministry of External Affairs since the last fiveyears. Similarly this association is duly recognised by all the concerned Haj offices and Departments in Saudi Arabia. This association helps all its members in Saudi Arabia, too, in solving their problems being confronted by them from time to time.
Haj agreement is executed between the Government of India and the Royal Government of Saudi Arabia every year. In accordance with that annual Haj Agreement the association, too, sends its representatives to Saudi Arabia for executing an agreement with the Transport Syndicate for 37,000, to 38,000 Haj pilgrims belonging to the members of the association. Such agreements are being executed by the association since the last three years. Similar agreements are also executed by the association in Saudi Arabia with the Muwassasa for South Asian countries as well as the Adillah Establishment on behalf of the association's members. And likewise fresh agreement is going to be concluded with the Transport Syndicate and other Saudi Establishments for the ensuring Haj (2006 (ii) A.D.), in the month of August/September 2006.
All important informations and the instructions which are communicated by both the governments of India and Saudi Arabia to the association are transmitted promptly to all the members of the association. The process of such transmission is as follows :- First of all, the informations and instructions are studied in the Head Office of the Association thoroughly and minutely, then they are well-edited in the form of printed circulars and then despatched by post. This association offers its full co-operation to all its members in solving their problems if any. This association will continue to do so in future, too.
